About the Author:
Thubten Jigme Norbu (1922-2008) is the brother of Tenzin Gyatso, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. He eventually settled in America and worked devotedly for the Tibetan cause.
Dr. Heinrich Harrer was born in Austria in 1912. He has been an Olympic skier, mountaineer, traveller, and author of several books, including Seven Years in Tibet. He passed away in 2006.
