A hardcover edition with mottled grey boards, gilt lettering and unclipped, illustrated dust jacket. There is foxing and toning throughout but the text is clear and legible. The front and back of the dust cover are detached and there is a section missing along the spine. There are tears and missing pieces along the edges of the dust cover. There is rubbing along the edges of the book. Now in a clear plastic cover to protect from damage.
A reading copy of this funny book and has clearly been chuckled over many times in its 75 plus years!
