The Return of the King is the third and final volume of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, following The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. It was published in 1955. The story begins in the kingdom of Gondor, which is soon to be attacked by the Dark Lord Sauron.

A hardcover edition with red boards, gilt lettering and clipped, illustrated dust cover. There is foxing and toning throughout but the text and fold-out map are clear and legible. There is some fading to the edges of the book. There are some chips to the spine of the dust jacket.
Now in a clear plastic, removable cover to protect from damage.
