Prince Rabbit and the Princess Who Could Not Laugh by A.A. Milne

Two stories with variations on the contest theme. In the first tale, a clever rabbit wins every test of skill or intelligence to determine royal succession; he proves to be an enchanted prince, to which human form he returns. In the second story, a contest for the hand of a princess ends with the princess much amused and her hand given to the handsome prince she has been hoping would win.

A hard cover edition with illustrated front cover and black lettering. There is rubbing to the edges (well-worn) of the book along with foxing and toning throughout but the black and white and colour illustrations and text are clear and legible. There is a blue ink inscription on the front inside page. Page 27 has a small tear.
