Pont with an introduction by Fougasse

Laidler Graham Pont

The death of Graham Laidler, Pont of Punch was a great loss not only to those that knew him but to those countless people who enjoyed his work and became his friends, although they had never met or communicated with him.

An artist with unique gifts, he was a social satirist who could also make his pictures extremely funny, many of them convey points of a subtlety hardly before attempted by any other artist.

Fougasse, the art editor of Punch has written an introduction and a short biography of the artist.

The result is an entertaining book and an ideal present for all occasions.
