Parsons made his lure from sheep’s wool and Plymouth Rock rooster feathers to which he applied iodine turning the fly a brownish yellow. The modern equivalent employs a body of yellow chenille and mottled honey grizzle hackle feathers.4 June 2015

A hard cover edition with charcoal boards, platinum lettering and unclipped, illustrated dust cover. There is foxing and toning throughout but the text and colour illustrations are clear and legible. There is some rubbing to the edges of the book and dust jacket. There is fading to the spine of the dust jacket. Now in a clear, removable cover to protect from damage.
