Lester Piggott, the undisputed king of jockeys, ended the 1971 English racing season in the usual style. On a November afternoon at Haydock, he rode a sparkling treble. Hos total of winners in Britain was 2,690. He was a champion for the eighth successive time. Nothing had changed in the Lester Legend.

The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean and intact and the spine remains undamaged. This book has clearly been well maintained and looked after thus far but has been read and there is wear to the edges. Slight foxing to the  front page edges.

Now covered in a protective plastic cover to prevent damage.
