Janus: A Summing Up is a 1978 book by Arthur Koestler, in which the author develops his philosophical idea of the holarchy. First introduced in Koestler’s 1967 book, The Ghost in the Machine, the holarchy provides a coherent way of organizing knowledge and nature all together.

A hardcover edition with clipped illustrated dust jacket, red boards, tan cloth spine and gilt lettering. There is a blue ink inscription on the inside front page. There is foxing and toning throughout but the text is clear and legible. There is rubbing and some tearing to the edges of the dust jacket. There is some slight rubbing and wear to the edges of the book.

Now in a clear, removable cover to protect from damage.
