In Quest of the White God by Pierre Honore

$30.00

-Translated from the German by Oliver Coburn and Ursula Lehrburger

In Quest of the White God is in part an account of the fascinating Indian civilisation of Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Yucatan and Honduras and an absorbing piece of historical detection, which took Honore some fifteen years to carry out. IN the course of his investigations, both from an examination of archaeological evidence and by research in the great libraries of Spain and Portugal, Pierre Honore became aware of further parallels with civilisations from across the Pacific, from China and Cambodia. Communication, he argues, between South America, the Mediterranean and the Orient must have taken place. The White God of the Indians once a reality and he suggests a solution to the mystery. In a most readable manner and with the aid of excellent photographs and line drawings, Pierre Honore lifts the veil of mystery from a fascinating world of high culture that existed in the Americas some four hundred and fifty years ago.
