Annie Besant made her name working for women’s rights, but has become more famous as a leading light in the influential religious movement of Theosophy, founded by Madam Blavatsky and as the woman who discovered the extraordinary spiritual teacher, J. Krishnamurti. In this book about the hidden mysteries of Christianity, she demonstrates her great religious learning and considerable commonsense. Written over 100 years ago, this work remains surprisingly interesting and readable.
