A Decade of Guess? 1981-1991

Original price was: $250.00.Current price is: $185.00.

A 244 page edition, illustrated in black and white and colour. Creative Direction by Paul Marciano. This is the extravagantly produced, self-published volume of publicity and marketing photos culled from the first decade of the Guess? clothing company’s provocative quarterly catalogues issued between 1981 and 1991. It features the work of photographers Sydney Baldwin, Dominick Guillemot, Mark Hispard, Neil Kirk, Wayne Maser, Perry Ogden, Herb Ritts, and Ellen Von Unwerth giving life to the designers’ self-proclaimed “fashion revolution” in a glossy cavalcade of teased hair, collagen injected lips, breasts, and denim. Relive the birth of Claudia Schiffer fully grown from the brows of Paul Marciano and Ellen Von Unwerth, the fantasy of Tom Skerritt’s cigar chompin’ Bayou trumpeter, and Wayne Maser’s cowgirl on Quaaludes chic – they’re all here! A most handsome copy of this massive tome that was issued hors commerce as a sales tool, and never commercially distributed.
