Description

Two volumes, complete, of Johnson’s important anthology of African American religious and folk songs. Snugly bound and very neat in brown and blue cloth respectively, with a matching design of lettering in dark brown and in size. There is some foxing and toning but the text and sheet music is clear and legible. The first volume has a tear ( with some of the page missing) on the front page opposite the title page. Both volumes have a paper label on the back inside the boards.

Very scarce as a 2-volume set

Now enclosed in a clear plastic cover to protect from damage.
