Art in Australia was an Australian art magazine founded by Sydney Ure Smith and Bertram Stevens and published between 1916 and 1942. This is the Third Number of ‘Art in Australia’. There were 2000 copies of this edition printed.

It contains many colour and black and white plates by Norman Lindsay, W. Lister Lister and many more. There are also articles and advertisements on products of the day.

Description

A softcover edition with a grey dust jacket with black lettering and black and orange illustration on the front. The book’s spine has lost its cover and there is toning to the front and backboards. Pages are loose.

The dust jacket is unclipped and torn from top to bottom and is missing the spine. The book has toning throughout but the text and colour and black and white plates are clear.
