A hardcover edition with no dust jacket and an off white cloth cover with gilt lettering and blue illustration on spine and cover.

The book has the previous owners name in pen on the inside front page. There is foxing and toning on the front and back cover and throughout the book but the text, black and white plates and maps/diagrams are clear. There is also a stain on the top right-hand side of the front cloth cover and rubbing to the edges.
