A hardcover edition with illustrations by Ella Fry, introduction by the author, list of illustrations, appendices and index. Map illustrated end pages showing a map of Australia and three maps highlighting Rottnest Island, Albany, Western Australia and Mornington Peninsula and its environs of Victoria. The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Ella Fry with black coloured cloth covered boards, and gilt coloured titles. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, again by Ella Fry, with tan and black coloured titles to the front panel and tan coloured titles to the back strip. There is some rubbing of the book corners and softening of the lower back strip edge. There is age-toning and some foxing spots throughout the book but the text and illustrations are clean. There is an inscription on the front inside page, the title page, contents page and introduction page. Published by Oxford University Press.
